Hope to see you all for our Xmas edition of Arts Club this Monday. We will be serving mulled wine and minced pies to get everyone in the mood!

Our line up this month includes:

  • Photographer Orla O Brien will share photos from her recent body of work including portait photography from ‘Fado Fado‘ and ‘Family Matters‘.
  • Damian Byrne is an acoustic singer songwriter from Dublin who is heavily influenced by Irish folk music and current singer songwriters. Damian is also a member of an Irish folk group called Pedro&co.
  • Illustrator and IADT Graphic Design graduate Nicola Coltons distinctive mixed media drawings has been featured in Airfield and Exchange Gallerys and she is currently working on a children’s picture book. Check out some of her work here
  • Actor and friend of Arts Club Scott Kelly will perform for us in his imitable style a blend of theatre, drama and clowning.

As usual we will have alot more on the night, so get down early and enjoy the final show of 2011.

There will also be an opportunity to buy calendars featuring the work artist Mary Duffy who wowed us with her presentation of work at Octobers Arts Club.

We have a fantastic line up for you this month including:

  • Poet Claudio Sansone – this young Italian poet and Novelist will read some of his original work.
  • Artist and FilmakerShane Sutton – He showed some of his films last month – this month Shane will tell us about his exciting new animated feature project ‘The Quest for a real Hard Hob‘, image below.
  • Laban Dance Demonstration by Dance facilitator Niamh O Connor of www.freeyourself.ie . Laban Dance allows you to create dance by interpreting stimuli including songs and dramatic texts.
  • Music from Shane Atlas aka ‘Captain Atlas’ – Expect something special from this amazing multi-instrumentalist – he may even play two instruments at once!
  • Presentation of Claynation workshop by City Artsquad. This highly successful workshop from this years Kilmainham Arts Festival inspired some wonderful creations, photos of which will be shown on the night.
  • Photographer and MFA graduate of Ulster University Christine Redmond will share some of her fantastic images (see below)

  • Music from Chaos in Harmony, Dermot Ryan and Peter Grogan!
  • Artist and Filmaker Shane Sutton shows some of his short films. A dedicated oil painter & illustrator, Shane also has extensive experience in broadcast graphics, animation and film editing.Shane also works as an artist facilitator community groups in Dublin.
  • Maeve O Sullivan - Poet and Haiku writer and former winner of best poem at Listowel Writers week, Maeve’s first solo haiku collection, Initial Response, was launched in April 2011 by Alba Publishing (UK)
