Kilmainham Arts Club is on this Monday February 3rd
We will kick of at 8pm. As usual it is in The Patriots Inn, Kilmainham, has no cover charge and is open to all. It promises to be a wonderful night full to the brim with great artistic talent. Our visual artist is painter Chris McMorrow, His subject is street scenes and pubs of Dublin, Cork and Limerick , and landscapes of Ireland , Italy and France. McMorrow has a way with light. He will chat about his work and show images.
Writer,Poet and songwriter Kevin Nolan will read from his new volume of poems entitled Schizo-poetry, co-written with visual art Suzanne Wawra who will also read. Nolan will also read from Vibrations of the Soul, which was illustrated with paintings by the artist John Nolan whose art we will see too.
Joan Harmon, songwriter and guitarist and Mairead O’Donnell, fiddle player, have put together some songs and tunes which they will perform for us.
Elaine Gallagher is a writer/director/stand-up from Kells Co. Meath, living in Dublin. Her comedy style is a satirical and often surreal mix of storytelling and one liners, with fiddle accompaniment.
